Hit & Run Accident - February 24 10:30 p.m.
A student reported a vehicle hit and run near Connolly Center. The student's motorcycle was parked upright and when he returned damage was consistent with the motorcycle falling to the ground after being struck by another vehicle.
Simple Assault - February 24 11:30 p.m.
A student reported to Public Safety after he parked his vehicle on 12th Avenue and three non-affiliate males approached him. One male then suddenly struck the student on the head with a closed fist and the three ran off. Police conducted an area check and one of the suspects was taken into custody. The student was transported to a local hospital and checked out, then returned to campus.
Theft - February 25 1:25 p.m.
An employee reported to Public Safety that over the course of the past couple weeks, food items as well as change from the honor bar in the Collegiums' have gone missing. Public Safety is investigating.
Theft - February 25 1:50 p.m.
A student reported that they had secured the bike with a heavy duty chain to a university bike rack on the second level of the garage. The student returned approximately three months later to find the bike and lock missing.
Suspicious Person - February 25 11:30 p.m.
A student reported a non-affiliate female aggressively panhandling near the Chardin walkway. The student stated that she had been approached earlier that day by the same woman. Public Safety conducted an area check but was unable to locate the individual.
Malicious Mischief - February 26 2:20 a.m.
Public Safety located graffiti on a land proposal board near the Fine Arts building. Public Safety photographed the graffiti and submitted a deficiency to Facilities to initiate removal.
Occupational Accident - February 26 9:30 a.m.
An employee reported pain in her right wrist as a result of using her computer at her work station. The employee declined the offer of medical attention.
Safety Assist - February 26 11:50 a.m.
A grounds staff found an open hypodermic needle in the parking lot. Public Safety collected the item and placed it in a hazardous waste container.
Alcohol Violation - February 27 1:10 a.m.
Public Safety and Housing responded to an alcohol violation in a residence hall. Resident student and two non-affiliate guests admitted to having alcohol in the room.
Official Agency - February 27 2:20 a.m.
Police, medics and Public Safety and Police responded to a non-affiliate motor vehicle accident at the intersection of 14th Avenue & E. Cherry Street. Injured person treated all non-affiliates.
Malicious Mischief - February 27 10:40 p.m.
Public Safety reported to Police a group of males tagging a sign on Broadway near the Broadway garage. Public Safety contacted the males as they entered campus. The males ran off before arrival of Police.
Alcohol Violation - February 27 10:55 p.m.
Medics Public Safety and Medics responded to a report of an intoxicated student lying on the floor of the Atrium in Piggott. Medics cleared the student to go home, off campus, with roommates.
Alcohol Violation - February 28 1:20 a.m.
Public Safety contacted a student and several guests using a lab while consuming alcohol. The student was documented and forwarded to conduct.
Alcohol Violation - February 28 2:35 a.m.
Public Safety contacted an intoxicated non-affiliate female lying on the ground near the south side of Bellarmine. Public Safety spoke with a resident assistant who advised the non-affiliate was a guest.
Trespass Warning & Arrest - February 28 2:50 a.m.
Public Safety and Police contacted two non-affiliate males in the Student Center. One male was trespass warned from campus and the other was arrested for violation of previous trespass on campus.
Police Safety Assist - February 28 3:55 a.m.
Public Safety responded to a report of a water leak coming from a pipe in the basement. Public Safety notified Facilities of the leak.
Malicious Mischief - February 28 6:00 a.m.
In the past three days Public Safety observed nine incidents of graffiti in various locations around campus. Given the significant amount of graffiti Facilities work crews were contacted over the weekend and clean up completed before campus opened Monday.
