While that new kid in town down 12th Avenue, Boom Noodle, is a show stealer, you'll be glad The Lemongrass is somewhat of a secret once you visit it. This restaurant is slick; there's new beautiful dishware, classy napkins and chopsticks to show off your game to that cute hall mate of yours. A menu of rather authentic Vietnamese items is still inexpensive for the amount and quality of the food. The fried squid could convert any seafood hater, and the lemon garlic chicken is the best this side of Hanoi. What's more, the wait staff at The Lemongrass is the most attentive--in an adorable way--you'll ever experience. On a recent visit, two servers continually peeked around the corner of the kitchen, just waiting to scoop up the empty water glass and refill it. But don't let yourself get too full with all of the rice they'll offer you (Isn't there a shortage on the white gold, anyway?), because the fried banana is good enough to slide down your throat in one bite. The meal at The Lemongrass doesn't stop there, though. Make sure you don't leave without a bubble tea--smoothie version with tapioca recommended. Good thing it's close to campus; you may need help up that hill.
