Seattle is a hotbed of indie stores. From coffee to books to bikes, there is no shortage of hip places to spend money. And if you didn't already know, Seattle loves music in every form. Combine these two phenomena, and the result is Everyday Music. The store is only one of several independent record joints in Seattle, but with its convenient location and whopping new storefront, Everyday Music is the first choice of music savvy students. The musical genres available at Everyday Music run the entire gamut of audio entertainment from pop to electronica and beyond. With a new, larger storefront, Everyday Music probably will have an album from your favorite underground group. In addition to CDs and records, Everyday Music sells DVDs of movies and popular TV shows ("Lost" fans rejoice. What makes Everyday Music such a great place to shop is the fact that they buy back CDs and DVDs as well. Customers can get some coin for their old discs and then rummage through the selection of used music and movies for A/V gold. Don't be afraid of asking the staff for help. They're all friendly and knowledgeable people who may lead you to discover your new favorite band. Everyday Music is located on the corner of Broadway and Pine, and that bronze statue of Jimmy Hendrix points the way.
