FILM: 'Alice in Wonderland'
Mark your calendars—you don't want to be late—Friday is a very important date. "Alice in Wonderland," based on the beloved Lewis Carroll book, hits theaters Friday, including midnight showings at the Pacific Science Center IMAX in 3-D. This time around, director Tim Burton tries his hand at adapting the tale of the girl falling down the rabbit hole into a world of fantastic places and creatures. In Burton's version, Alice (Mia Wasikowska of "Defiance") is 19 and returning to Wonderland in order to end the Red Queen's (Helena Bonham Carter) tyrannous reign. Aside from the delirious images of Wonderland, the highly anticipated film's star-studded cast seems to ensure its excellence with performances by Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Crispin Glover, Stephen Fry, Michael Sheen and Alan Rickman.
